You've got a profile on The Lineup — here's how to make it yours and keep it updated.
Step 1: Find Your Band's Profile
Go to the bands page and search for your band name. Click on your profile to view it.
At the bottom of your profile page, you'll see one of two things:
- "Claim this profile" — click this to get started (go to Step 2)
- "Manage your listing" — you're already set up (skip to Step 3)
If your band isn't listed yet, visit suggest a band to add it. We'll create your profile and let you know when it's ready to claim.
Step 2: Claim Your Profile
Claiming is free and takes about 2 minutes.
- Click "Claim this profile" on your band's page
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a magic link — this is a special sign-in link we send you instead of a password. Click it and you're signed in automatically. No password to remember, no account to create.
- Once we approve your claim (usually within a few hours), you'll have full access to edit your profile
You'll get an email when your claim is approved.
About magic links: Every time you want to sign in to manage your profile, we'll send a new magic link to your email. Just click it and you're in. Check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it within a couple minutes — sometimes email providers are overly cautious. The link expires after 24 hours, so use it soon after you receive it.
Step 3: Edit Your Profile
Once your claim is approved, go to your band's profile page and click "Manage your listing" at the bottom. This takes you to your edit page.
Your edit page is organized into four sections:
About Your Band
- Bio — Tell people what kind of music you play and what to expect at a show. Two or three sentences is plenty.
- Based In — Your city and state
Photos
- Upload photos — Drag and drop photos into the upload area, or click "browse" to select files from your phone or computer. You can upload multiple photos at once.
- Set your main photo — Click the star next to any photo to make it your main profile image. The main photo shows up on your profile card and at the top of your page.
- Remove a photo — Click the X to remove a photo from your gallery.
- Photos are reviewed before they go live — usually within 24 hours.
Photo tips:
- Action shots of your band performing work great
- Landscape (horizontal) photos look best as your main image
- JPG, PNG, or WebP format, up to 5MB each
Online Presence
All of these are optional — just fill in what you have.
- Website — Your band's website, if you have one
- Facebook — Paste the full URL of your Facebook page (from the address bar, not just your page name)
- Instagram — Same thing — paste the full URL
- YouTube Channel — Your YouTube channel link
- TikTok — Your TikTok profile link
- Bandcamp — Your Bandcamp page
- Featured Video — Paste a YouTube video link and it will be embedded right on your profile page. Pick your best live performance — this is what fans see first.
Tip: For all links, copy the full URL from your browser's address bar. It should start with "https://".
Booking Information
Help event planners find and book you.
- Booking Contact Name — The person to contact for bookings (if different from the band)
- Booking Email — Where booking inquiries should go
- Booking Phone — A phone number for bookings
Step 4: Save Your Changes
Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
- Text changes (bio, links, booking info) go live right away
- Photo changes are reviewed first — usually within 24 hours
You'll see a confirmation message when your changes are saved.
Adding Your Shows & Events
You have two options for getting your shows on our events calendar:
Option A: Add shows one at a time
On your edit page, click "Submit an Event" in the events section. Fill in the event name, date, time, venue, and category. Your show will appear on the calendar after a quick review.
Option B: Upload your whole schedule
If you have a lot of dates, click "Upload Your Schedule" on your edit page. You can upload a spreadsheet, PDF, screenshot, or text file with all your dates. We'll add them all for you — no need to enter them one at a time.
Other Things You Can Do
Transfer Your Profile
If someone else in the band should manage the profile, scroll to the bottom of your edit page and click "Transfer Ownership." Enter their email and we'll handle the switch.
